09:00 – 10:30 – Meet your guide at the passenger terminal, City tour and visit St. Nickolas church - one of the most beautiful active churches of St.Petersburg.
You will get acquainted with all city's major highlights. You will see the Winter Palace, residence of the Russian tsars, St. Isaac's square, Kazan cathedral, the Admiralty, University, Point of Bazil Island, Egyptian Sphinxes, Menshikov palace, Academy of Fine Arts, the Bronze Horseman. You will see the main squares and architectural ensembles of the city, beautiful bridges and Neva river embankments. You will make photo stops at the most beautiful places
10:30 – 11:00 – Visit of St.Isaac's cathedral. It is one of the largest domed buildings in the world. It is remarkable for its mosaics, sculpture and paintings. This unique cathedral is often called “the museum of minerals” because 44 different types of stones were used in its decoration.
11:15– 12:45 – Visit of the Spilt Blood Church that adorns the central part of the city. It is decorated with 7000 square meters of mosaics and amazes and with multicolored "onion" domes. It was built at the place where Alexander II was mortally wounded by terrorist on March 1st, 1881, That is why people call this church The Savior on the Spilt Blood Church.
13:00-13:45- Lunch (optional, not included in price)
14:00 – 16:00 – The Hermitage tour. It is the main museum of Russia (3 million exhibits) and the treasure-house of world-ranking masterpieces. The tour will be through the highlights. The guide will show you the Great enfilade of the State rooms in the Winter palace. You will get acquainted with the masterpieces by the great Italians: Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Spanish painters: Velaszques, Murillo and El Greco. You will see the world's best collections of paintings and sculpture.
Please remember, the collection of impressionists is exhibited in the separate building and is not included into this tour. Please let us know if you would like to see them.
16:10 -17:30- Free time, shopping, walking along Nevsky prospect, St. Petersburg's most famous street
18:00 – You are back at your ship.
18:00- check out our evening program: ballet, opera, folk show (optional)
